Restoration of Deposed Judges in Pakistan

Yet another home-grown movement has achieved its objective. It has forced a civilian dictator to bow down to truth and justice and he had to restore the justice and judiciary in Pakistan. The Lawyer’s long, hard struggle for the independent judiciary has at last borne the fruit. They had started from just a few and yesterday they were accompanied by tens of thousands of people of Pakistan, Not Punjabis, not Pathans not Sindhis or Balochies but Pakistanis. I can only understand one reason for so many Pakistanis to come out and stand alongside the lawyers and that is: they believed that the cause was Just.
It can be said and it will be said that the politicians made them come out of their homes, yes! True but did politicians of Pakistan ever succeeded in putting up the show this big for a cause which was more social than political? The answer will definitely be big NO. Therefore, I feel that despite the presence of political motives of politicians, the people came out for justice and to up held the rule of Law.

Will there be a change in our society now, will the justice be swift and just and for everyone. I would say no, not so soon, but it’s a beginning. Change will be slow but it will be there. Revolutions do not come overnight as someone had said. It’s a first step too big.
I would salute to Nawaz Sharif who rose above personal motives and stood up for the Justice; At least he sounded and acted like one. I would Salute Aitzaz Ahsan, whose determination and belief in the success of the campaign never looked shaky. A true leader he proved. And I must not forget the thousands of lawyers, members of civil society, political workers and above all media, who contributed lots and lots in success of this movement.
I could only say this on the success of this movement “SHABASH PAKISTAN”.

Imprisoned Hear me! Heed me! One more time!! Hear my whispers, hear my rhymes I fright! For I sense my words would soon fade If not uttered; If not heard; They shall perish forever, And never shall wake Artisted, I confess! Crafted and beautified, Indeed they are prettied And mystified But they are real, They are sincere. Prisoned in me for years. They are chested Amid agonizing noise Silent; they are dusted Hear them now For they are fading Free them! For they are long awaiting Take them For I am weary of the keep. In absolution, I want to finally sleep Hear me! Hear me! One last time. Muhammad Ali Monday July 18, 2016

Living!

Sometimes playing safe no longer remains the option. Sometimes it is but living on the edge. If one is not accustomed to it, this can be scary. If someone claims it isn’t, he or she is in a state of denial. This fear, however, can very easily be transformed into self-exploration adventure expedition , if confronted head-on. I see it as leaving the warmth and comfort of a home and camping in the woods for the first time among scariest of the predators, darkness and fear playing at the max. You are always on alert, your defense mechanism triggers itself against the predators, listening to the faintest of sounds and reacting to the smallest of motions. Your sight sees nothing but darkness in the beginning, even when eyes get used to darkness, the visibility remains limited. But when sight partners with fear, it looks beyond limits, exploring further and deeper, analyzing everything and everyone that is or potentially can be a threat or an oppertunity and that is when one learns how...
