Opening of Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar




Opening of Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) in Doha was the next big thing happened after Asian Games and I feel lucky that I was part of both the events. The Building of MIA is not just a modern day construction marvel but the Islamic Art collections are even more marvellous. The museum can easily be said the jewel in the modern Arab architectural crown.

Qatar has truly listed itself in the names of countries, which are committed to preserve the history for their generations to come. This Museum is also said to be the rare reflection of the mixture of old and contemporary Islamic architecture of our times. At the time, where whole of the Gulf has big sky scrappers of western type and still building big, this museum has superseded them all in its beauty and marvel.

Living!

Sometimes playing safe no longer remains the option. Sometimes it is but living on the edge. If one is not accustomed to it, this can be scary. If someone claims it isn’t, he or she is in a state of denial. This fear, however, can very easily be transformed into self-exploration adventure expedition , if confronted head-on. But when sight partners with fear, it looks beyond limits, exploring further and deeper, analyzing everything and everyone that is or potentially can be a threat or an oppertunity and that is when one learns how...
